STEM Strategy
Since the launch of ESP’s STEM strategy in January 2016, ESP has been working with a number of partners including the Army Careers, Education Scotland, SSERC, Bloodhound, Microsoft to coordinate STEM activities and establish college STEM hubs across Scotland.
Scottish STEM Partnership Work Plan
As a result of the success of the STEM activity ESP is now a strategic partner in the Scottish STEM Partnership and has developed a work plan to expand on the work to date including:

ESP Equipment and Physical Resources for Loan

ESP has produced a brochure of available equipment and physical resources which can be booked by colleges for use at meetings or events such as STEM days. Within the pages you’ll find virtual reality training resources such as the iHR Working at Heights kit and the Virtual Welding training kit as well as a number of smaller fun STEM activities for use with schools.

The brochure can be viewed by clicking here and details on how to book resources are included inside.

In 2016/17 the number of STEM Regional hubs has increased to 22 with each hub run by a regional college who in turn engage with their local schools to undertake STEM related activities. With the STEM hubs established ESP have worked with colleges across Scotland to roll out a range of scalable activities that are sustainable in the long term.
