Building Capacity and Capability

ESP is supporting capability and capacity building across Scotland’s colleges to ensure colleges have staff with the skills and expertise to support learners and understand and respond to the needs of industry. A survey was recently undertaken to identify key staff needs and skill requirements within Scotland’s colleges to inform the delivery of a range of training and development courses/programmes.

New Membership Update

The ESP is delighted to welcome new members to the partnership – Coatbridge College and South Lanarkshire College have joined as part of the wider Lanarkshire Federation.

Scottish Energy Laboratory

The partnership is working closely with Scottish Enterprise to develop data already captured through the energy training database to populate the Scottish Energy Laboratory (SEL) database which is a useful tool for industry and the positioning of colleges.

Microgeneration Strategy

The ESP welcomed the opportunity recently to contribute to the newly launched Micro-generation Strategy for Scotland by illustrating the colleges’ skills provision in micro-renewables.

The ESP is delighted to welcome new members to the partnership – Motherwell College, Cumbernauld College and Reid Kerr College.
